Roast Tomatoes With Sumac And Pepper

Great on toast for breakfast or a great way to have tomatoes with a main course. For breakfast, add crispy grilled bacon and crispy lettuce leaves.


  • 1 kg baby tomatoes, preferably on the vine
  • 4 tblsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2-3 tsp ground sumac
  • 2-3 tsp ground black pepper


  1. Sit the tomatoes in an oven-proof dish and drizzle over the olive oil.
  2. Scatter with sumac and pepper.
  3. Bake at 180°C 10-12 minutes or until the skins are just about to split. Cool.
