Your guests will be impressed by this delicious cake which looks like it took much longer than a mere 15 minutes to make.
Ingredients
- 300 grams white chocolate (made with cocoa butter), chopped
- 2 packets individual meringues
- 1-2 punnets strawberries, wiped
- icing sugar for dusting
Method
- Melt the white chocolate in a microwave for 1-2 minutes on high. Once about half of it is melted, remove and stir with a spoon until the remaining chocolate melts.
- Dip the meringues and strawberries topside down into the melted chocolate and arrange on a serving plate, stacking them into a peak shape. As the chocolate cools it will help glue the meringues and stawberries together. Once the chocolate has set, dust the gateau liberally with icing sugar and serve at room temperature with a bowl of whipped cream.
