Ingredients
- 3 cloves garlic, peeled and finely chopped
- 1 stalk celery, finely sliced
- ½ red and ½ green pepper, finely sliced
- 1 carrot, peeled and finely sliced
- 6 spring onions or 1 onion, finely sliced
- 2 tablespoons oil
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh ginger or 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 tablespoons honey
- ½ cup stock or water
- ¼ cup sherry
- 2 teaspoons cornflour
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 250 cooked spaghetti or lasagne noodles
Method
- Heat the oil in a large pan or wok and cook the garlic, ginger, onions, peppers and carrots until the mixture is fragrant.
- Mix together the soy sauce, stock, sherry, honey and cornflour and pour the mixture into the pan.
- Cook until thickened. Add the pasta and bean sprouts and toss well. Serve garnished with toasted sesame seeds.
