Panettone is an Italian festive yeast cake, which has become quite popular in New Zealand at Christmas time. Light with a sweet yeasty taste, it is studded with raisins and candied peel. Panettone is delicious sliced and toasted on Christmas morning, especially when served with home-made or the finest-quality jams.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf Panettone or raisin bread
- creme fraiche
- quality fruit jam
Method
- Cut the bread into 1.5cm slices and toast. Serve with creme fraiche and jam.
