Toasted Panettone Or Raisin Bread With Creme Fraiche And Apricot Liqueur Jam

Panettone is an Italian festive yeast cake, which has become quite popular in New Zealand at Christmas time. Light with a sweet yeasty taste, it is studded with raisins and candied peel. Panettone is delicious sliced and toasted on Christmas morning, especially when served with home-made or the finest-quality jams.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Panettone or raisin bread
  • creme fraiche
  • quality fruit jam

Method

  1. Cut the bread into 1.5cm slices and toast. Serve with creme fraiche and jam.
