Strawberries Dipped In White Chocolate

Strawberries Dipped In White Chocolate


  • 300 gram punnet strawberries
  • 100 grams white chocolate


  1. Wipe the strawberries. Do not wash.
  2. Chop the chocolate roughly and place in a microwave proof bowl. Heat on high powder (100%) for 2 minutes and then stir. Continue to heat in 15 second bursts until the chocolate can be stirred to a smooth sauce. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes.
  3. Holding onto the strawberries by the stem, dip each strawberry into the chocolate sufficiently to cover the bottom 2/3rds of the strawberry. Place on a cake rack over a tray and when all the strawberries are dipped transfer to tray to the refrigerator until firm.
  4. Any remaining chocolate on the tray can be collected and re-used if wished.

Cooks Tips

If you do not wish to melt the chocolate in the microwave, place the chopped chocolate in a bowl and melt over a saucepan of simmering water. Do not allow any moisture to fall into the chocolate as this will cause it to sieze.
