Smoked Fish Pasta With Grapes And Lemon


  • about 600-700 grams smoked fish
  • 4 tablespoons virgin olive oil
  • 2 spring onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp minced fresh garlic
  • grated rind and juice 2 lemons
  • 1 tsp coarsley ground white or black pepper
  • ΒΌ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 400 grams spiral pasta
  • 1 small bunch green grapes, halved if wished
  • fresh leaves parsley to garnish


  1. Remove the skin and any bones from the smoked fish and discard. Break the flesh into small bite-size pieces and arrange in one layer in a dish.
  2. Mix together the oil, spring onions, minced garlic, lemon rind and lemon juice, ground pepper and dill.
  3. Toss this marinade mixture over the smoked fish and set aside at room tempuerature for about 15 minutes to allow the flavours to blend together.
  4. Cook the pasta in plenty of boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and toss in the marinated smoked fish mixture with the grapes. Serve with fresh crusty bread.
