Slug Biscuits

This recipe is from of our our Radio ZB listeners in Christchurch

Ingredients

  • 6 oz butter
  • 3 oz sugar
  • ½ lb flour
  • 3 tblsp coconut
  • 1½ tsp baking powder

Method

  1. Cream together the butter and sugar.
  2. Sift the flour and baking powder together and fold into the butter mixture with the coconut.
  3. Shape the mixture into long slug shapes on a greased baking tray.
  4. Cook at 180°C for 10-12 minutes or until the slugs are cooked and become light brown in colour.
