Sesame Stir Fried Greens

These stir fried greens are great served with Teriyaki and Ginger Chicken Drumsticks.


  • 2 tblsp sesame oil
  • 4-5 sticks celery, sliced diagon
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 4 spring onions, trimmed and sliced diagonally
  • 1 bunch broccolini, cut into florets
  • 1 bunch bok choy, sliced diagonally
  • 3-4 tblsp Hoisin sauce
  • grated rind and juice one lemon
  • 1 tblsp toasted sesame seeds
  • ¼ cup toasted cashew nuts


  1. Heat a dash of sesame oil in a wok and stirfry the celery for 1-2 minutes. Add the garlic, spring onions, broccolini and bok choy and stirfry for a few minutes until “crisp tender”.
  2. Add the Hoisin sauce, lemon rind and juice and sesame seeds. Toss to mix and serve quickly garnished with the cashew nuts.

Cooks Tips

- For best results when stir frying, make sure you have a very hot wok or frying pan. - You can also add a couple of spoonfuls of water to help create steam when tossing the vegetables. This helps cook them quickly without having to add any additional oil.
