Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1½ tsp baking power
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- ¾ cup sugar
- 125 grams butter
- grated orange rind of 1-2 oranges
- 1 cup mixed dried fruit
- 2 eggs
- 2-4 tblsp orange juice
Method
- Sift the flour, baking powder, nutmeg and sugar into a bowl.
- Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles fine crumbs.
- Stir in the orange rind and dried fruit.
- Beat the eggs together and mix in to make a stiff dough, adding the orange juice if needed.
- Place tablespoonfuls of the mixture on to a greased baking tray.
- Bake at 180°C for 15 minutes.
