Puffed Wheat Clusters

Ingredients

  • 120 grams butter
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 230 grams icing sugar
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 4-5 cups puffed wheat

Method

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan with the cocoa and the icing sugar.
  2. Add the egg and continue to stir over a low heat for 2 minutes then add vanilla essence. Then when hot pour over 4-5 cups of puffed wheat and mix through.
  3. Pile onto greased tray spreading slightly and leave until next day to set.
