A variation for the Bolognaise Mince.


  • ½ quantity of Bolognaise Mince (see recipe on our website)
  • 2-3 cups cooked pasta shapes
  • 2-4 courgettes, trimmed and thinly sliced
  • 2-3 large tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup grated Cheddar-style cheese


  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  2. Mix the Bolognaise mince with pasta shapes and pile into an ovenproof dish. Pan-fry the courgette slices on each side in a knob of butter until golden. Place on top of the mince and then cover with the tomato slices. Scatter over the cheese.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes until the cheese has melted and the dish is piping hot.

Cooks Tips

Variations: - Stir in ½-1 cup roughly torn basil leaves. - Stir in ½ cup sliced black olives. - Add ½ cup halved stuffed olives. - Add 4-5 finely sliced anchovy fillets. - Stir in 100-200 grams tomato or red capsicum pesto. - Add chopped sun-dried or semi-dried tomatoes or red capsicums.
