Parmesan Pita Toasts

  • Makes 80 wedges
Parmesan Pita Toasts


  • 1 packet large pita bread pockets (5 pockets)
  • 2 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
  • 2 tblsp sesame seeds
  • ½ cup olive oil or melted butter
  • ¼ cup finely grated parmesan cheese


  1. Split each piece of pita bread into two horizontally and toast one side.
  2. Combine the lemon pepper and sesame seeds.
  3. Using a pastry brush, brush the untoasted side of the pita breads with the oil or butter. Sprinkle over an even amount of the lemon pepper mix and top with grated parmesan cheese. Cut into eighths.
  4. Place on a baking tray cheese side up. Grill under a medium heat until crunchy and golden brown. Store in an airtight container. Warm before serving.
