
These crispy flavoured morsels are perfect to accompany a Nicoise or Caesar Salad or serve as a nibble with drinks. Perfect with a chilled dry Sherry.
Ingredients
- 250 grams butter, softened
- 50 grams anchovies, well drained
- 2 tblsp tomato soup powder
- ΒΌ cup finely grated parmesan or cheddar cheese
- 2-3 tblsp finely chopped parsley or chives
- 1-2 tsp minced fresh garlic
- 1 loaf Turkish Pide bread
Method
- Mash together the butter, anchovies, soup powder, cheese, parsley and garlic.
- Cut the loaf into 1 cm thick slices and grill one side until toasted.
- Spread the untoasted side liberally with the butter mixture and grill until golden. Serve warm.
