Use different varieties of mustard to give this sauce different nuance of flavour. I prefer to use Dijon mustard, though Hot English is ideal with corned beef.
Ingredients
- 1 quantity basic white sauce (see website for recipe)
- 1 tblsp wholeseed mustard
- 1 tblsp prepared mustard
- ΒΌ cup cream
Method
- Make the basic white sauce (see recipe on this website).
- Add the mustards and cream and heat through.
Cooks Tips
Uses: Ideal with corned beef, roast chicken or grilled fish. Spoon over mashed potatoes or parsnips, and top with grated cheese and grill until golden.
