Macadamia crumble with apples and boysenberries


  • 500 grams apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 100 grams macadamia nuts, roughly chopped
  • 125 grams melted butter
  • 350 gram packet frozen boysenberries


  1. Gently simmer the prepared apples with a little water in a covered saucepan for 5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl mix together the flour, sugar, rolled oats and macadamia nuts. Stir in the melted butter and mix well.
  3. Carefully combine the hot, partly cooked apple with the frozen boysenberries and transfer to a 5-6 cup capacity ovenproof dish. Spoon crumble mix evenly over the fruit and cook at 180ÂșC for 30-35 minutes or until golden.
