Linguine With Mushrooms


  • 500 grams brown or flat mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp minced fresh garlic
  • 75 grams butter
  • salt and pepper
  • 2-3 tblsp chopped fresh dill, sage, or chives
  • 300 grams linguine pasta (sufficient for 4)


  1. Cook the mushrooms and garlic in the butter in a frying pan for 10 minutes until the mushrooms have softened and begun to release moisture.
  2. Season with salt, pepper and herbs. Keep warm.
  3. Cook the pasta in boiling salted water for 12 minutes or until al dente. Drain well.
  4. Toss into the pan with the mushrooms and mix together. Serve hot. Garnish with fresh herbs if wished.
