Serve these crispy morsels hot sprinkled with a spicy paprika and cumin shake.
Ingredients
- 2 orange kumara, peeled and grated (or one orange kumara and one potato)
- 1 onion, peeled and grated
- 1 cup chickpea flour
- ½ cup rice flour (or use cornflour)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tblsp curry paste
- 1 tsp minced chilli
- 1 tblsp chopped fresh coriander
- 1 cup water
Paprika and Cumin Shake
- 2 tsp each salt, ground cumin and paprika
- 2 tblsp toasted sesame seeds
Method
- In a bowl mix together the kumara, onions, chickpea flour, rice flour, baking powder, salt, curry paste, chilli, coriander and water to make a thick mixture.
- Deep fry spoonfuls of the mixture in hot oil for 3-4 minutes until they rise to the top are golden and cooked.
- Sprinkle over the Paprika and Cumin Shake and serve immediately.
