Honey and nutmeg kumara

Honey and nutmeg kumara


  • 8-10 medium-sized kumara
  • oil
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • grated rind of 1 orange
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper


  1. Peel the kumara. Cook for 5 minutes in boiling water. Drain and toss in oil.
  2. Fan bake at 200ºC (220ºC without fan) for 30-40 minutes until tender.
  3. Toss in honey, ground nutmeg and the grated rind of the orange. Season well with salt and pepper.
