A combination of very different flavours for adding to almost any meat dish or salad.
Ingredients
- 1 red onion, peeled and finely chopped
- 6-8 fresh dates, stoned and finely chopped
- 2 bananas, peeled, halved lengthwise and finely sliced
- 2 limes (juice) or one lemon
- 2-3 tblsp chopped fresh coriander
- 1/2 green chillis, deseed and finely sliced
- 2 spring onions, trimmed and chopped
Method
- Mix the red onion, dates, banana, lemon juice, coriander, chillies and spring onions together. If wished and the juice of an orange to make more like a chutney consistency if wished. Do not add any more lemon or lime as this will make it too sharp.
