Ingredients
- 6 sheets filo pastry
- 50 grams butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon liquid honey
- 1 egg
- 250 grams mascarpone
- 70 gram packet ground almonds
- 2 tablespoons mixed peel
- 1-2 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 2-3 feijoas, peeled and sliced into wedges
- extra honey to drizzle
Method
- Lightly grease 6x 7-8cm tart tins.
- Cut the filo into quarters and brush each piece with butter. Layer four pieces into each tin.
- Mix together the honey, egg, mascarpone, ground almonds and peel. Spoon equal amounts into the prepared filo-lined tins.
- Arrange the apples and feijoas on top of the almond mixture and drizzle with extra honey.
- Bake at 200ÂșC for 15-20 minutes or until golden and cooked through. Serve warm, garnished with orange rind.
Cooks Tips
- This recipe can be made in a single 22cm flan tin. Baking time will be 35 minutes.
