Go gourmet with a packet of frozen peas and make them a side dish that's special enough to serve when entertaining.
Ingredients
- 500-600 grams frozen peas
- 50-75 grams butter
Method
- Cook the peas in a dash of water for about 3-5 minutes over a high heat or in the microwave until very hot. Do not overcook.
- Drain well, add the butter and mash coarsely. Season to taste with salt and pepper before servine.
Cooks Tips
-Frozen peas are blanched, frozen and packed within 90 minutes of being picked so they're very healthy. Cook frozen vegetables in only a tiny amount of water to ensure they retain all that goodness - and don't overcook, that's when they go soggy.
