This recipe was given to me by my friend Shirley.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups plain flour
- 1 cup cocoa
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 4 eggs
- 225 grams melted butter
Method
- Sift the dry ingredients into a bowl and make a well in the centre.
- Beat together the melted butter, eggs and vanilla essence and stir into the dry ingredients.
- Press into a well greased and paper-lined slice tin.
- Bake at 180 degrees celcius for 25 minutes.
- Cool before icing with our favourite chocolate icing.
