For a different flavour use extra virgin olive oil in place of butter.
Ingredients
- 600 - 700 grams starchy potatoes, peeled
- 2 tblsp butter
- 2 tblsp cream
- salt and ground white pepper to taste
Method
- Cut the potatoes into even sized pieces and boil until tender.
- Drain and return the potatoes in the saucepan to a very low heat. Add the butter and cream and mash. Beat the potatoes well with a wooden spoon until light and fluffy. Season to taste with salt and white pepper and serve immediately.
