Best Ever Mash

For a different flavour use extra virgin olive oil in place of butter.


  • 600 - 700 grams starchy potatoes, peeled
  • 2 tblsp butter
  • 2 tblsp cream
  • salt and ground white pepper to taste


  1. Cut the potatoes into even sized pieces and boil until tender.
  2. Drain and return the potatoes in the saucepan to a very low heat. Add the butter and cream and mash. Beat the potatoes well with a wooden spoon until light and fluffy. Season to taste with salt and white pepper and serve immediately.
