Banana And Bacon Nibbles With Creamy Mango Chutney

Perfect for a nibble with a difference.

Ingredients

  • 3 bananas
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • about 6-8 rashers streaky bacon
  • ½ cup Mango Chutney (Indian style)
  • 2 tblsp sour cream

Method

  1. Peel the bananas and cut into 2cm pieces. Toss in lemon juice.
  2. Stretch each rasher of bacon with the back of a knife then cut into thirds. Use to wrap around each banana slice.
  3. Grill under a very high heat for 2-3 minutes, long enough to cook the bacon.
  4. Blend the mango chutney and sour cream together and serve as a dip on the side.
